Susan Carter, L.Ac., is a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist certified by the California Acupuncture Board (CAB) and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She began her graduate studies at the New England School of Acupuncture in Boston, Massachusetts and completed her degree at the American College of Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, California. Her clinical internships included rotations at the ACTCM Community Auricular Clinic in San Francisco and the Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, CA. Since earning her license, Susan has completed advanced trainings with Dr. Richard Teh Fu Tan (Pain Management) and Jane Lyttleton (Women’s Health and Fertility). She is currently studying with Sharon Weisenbaum in the Graduate Mentorship Program at the White Pine Institute in Amherst, MA.
While living in the San Francisco Bay Area, Susan was privileged to offer complimentary acupuncture treatments at the Charlotte Maxwell Integrative Cancer Clinic, an organization providing integrated medical care and support services to underserved women with cancer. Here in the Pioneer Valley, she enjoys volunteering her time at the Lyme Disease Resource Center and the Northampton Survival Center. Susan is thrilled to be a new member of the Stay in Touch family.
